God has given me much to offer the world, and I am happy to make myself available for you, dear reader. I have been a freelancer writer and teacher since 2004, working for a huge variety of people and organizations on projects too varied to categorize easily. Below is a summary of what I can do. Please contact me if I can be of service. No job is too large or two small. Whether you need just a few minutes of help with a term paper or a full-time editor for a publication, let’s talk. My schedule is usually pretty flexible. I’m open to almost anything.
Here’s my portfolio showing highlights my latest work and some things I’ve written, designed, and published for various clients (and in some cases full-fledged employers) over the years. I have done everything from newsletters to press releases to web content to pieces of investigative journalism.
I have experience in just about every form of mass media. My specialties in this “other media” are radio broadcasting, audio production and web design, but I also have done my share of video production and live presentation work too. As for my specialties, I will let this site speak for my web design skills, and I invite you to listen to my audio work samples posted here. I am set up (in a limited way) to do “other media” with my own equipment, but I can also work with clients’ equipment as necessary.
I am certified by the state of Texas to teach English and journalism in its secondary schools. I’ve also taught a number of writing classes at the college level. Since 2005, I have also built a small clientele of students from around the world who come to me for tutoring both via the internet and face-to-face. Most of these are college students seeking assistance on their term papers, but I have also tutored elementary – high school aged students in subjects ranging from reading to mathematics. I have also helped home school families and families facing difficulties navigating public school bureaucracies to get the best services for their children. And I have coached a number of do-it-yourself writers through their business proposals, resumes, and even family history projects.
