Testimonials
Since 1997, I have worked with students of all ages in a variety of settings: college, high school, and face-to-face tutoring. Here’s what some of them have said in unsolicited letters and in evaluation questionnaires about their time with me. (Because of my confidentiality policy, I don’t list names on these testimonials.) In mid-2008, I began asking some students to submit their best writing for publication on this site. Read those here.
My Most Prized Award
One of my students at Texas State University made this “award” from a paper that I critiqued for him early in the Fall 2001 semester. This straight A student had been angry at the “78″ I assigned him on this paper, but he quickly learned to appreciate my lessons, and his writing improved dramatically by the end of the term. I have won other awards for my teaching, but this heartfelt piece is the one I treasure most.
